LAHORE (RNN TV) — In the 25th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10, Multan Sultans won the toss and chose to bat first against Peshawar Zalmi at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Monday.

Despite dominating past head-to-head encounters with 11 wins in 16 matches, Multan have endured a disastrous season and sit at the bottom of the table with only one victory from eight games and a troubling net run-rate of -2.597. The Sultans have already been eliminated from playoff contention.

Peshawar Zalmi, currently in fifth place with three wins from seven matches, still have a slim chance of making the playoffs. They must win all their remaining games and rely on other results to go their way.

This match is a rematch of their earlier clash in PSL 2025, where Zalmi crushed the Sultans by 120 runs in Match 9 — one of the heaviest defeats of the tournament.
