Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has declared a state of emergency across the province in response to escalating tensions with India. All law enforcement agencies, including the Punjab Police, are on high alert, and enhanced security measures have been implemented in districts.
In her address, CM Maryam condemned the “cowardly” Indian attack and emphasized the nation’s unity in the face of aggression. She vowed to protect every inch of Pakistan, referencing the resolve shown during the 1998 nuclear tests.
“Protecting Pakistan is my oath, and every citizen will rise to this challenge, just as we did on May 28, 1998,” she declared.
As part of safety precautions, all educational institutions in Punjab will remain closed today, and exams have been postponed.
