An innocent child, Irtaza Abbas Turi, son of Pakistan Army Colonel Zahir Abbas Turi, was martyred in what Pakistan has condemned as a “cowardly attack” by India in Azad Kashmir. The tragic death of young Irtaza has left the nation heartbroken.
The funeral prayers for the martyr will be held today in Islamabad, with senior military officials, relatives, and local residents expected to attend.
The attack follows recent escalations, as India reportedly launched strikes on civilian areas in Pakistan, further heightening tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.
In response, Pakistan’s armed forces conducted a strong counteroffensive, claiming to have downed five Indian warplanes, including three Rafale jets. Pakistan also reported the destruction of several Indian military checkpoints, including a brigade headquarters. According to Pakistani sources, the Indian army raised a white flag at the Chora complex along the Line of Control, signaling a retreat and acknowledging defeat.
