China on Saturday called for calm between Pakistan and India, urging both nations to exercise restraint and avoid actions that could escalate tensions. Emphasizing the importance of regional peace, the Chinese Foreign Ministry stated that stability between the two South Asian neighbors is vital for broader regional security.

In an official statement, Beijing confirmed it is closely monitoring the situation and expressed readiness to play a constructive role in easing hostilities.

“Reducing tensions is important not only for Pakistan and India but also for the stability of the region,” a ministry spokesperson said. “We urge both sides to remain calm and exercise restraint.”
