Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, reaffirmed Pakistan and China’s united stance against terrorism and disinformation campaigns aimed at destabilising the region.
In an interview, Lt Gen Chaudhry denounced “baseless allegations” from an unnamed country, calling them an attempt to assert regional dominance without credible evidence. He emphasised that terrorism remains the biggest obstacle to development and that both nations are committed to its eradication for regional peace and stability.
He praised China’s development model as inspirational and expressed Pakistan’s aspirations for similar progress. The ISPR chief also highlighted global challenges such as climate change and misinformation, questioning the legitimacy of power politics in today’s interconnected world.
Reiterating Pakistan’s resilience, he said it stems from faith, unity, and determination, noting the nation’s sacrifices in the fight against terrorism. “Martyrdom is an honour, and our resolve has never wavered,” he said.
Lt Gen Chaudhry urged collective national effort—comprising the armed forces, government, media, and public—to build a unified front against terrorism. He concluded by asserting that peace and stability are prerequisites for prosperity and that Pakistan, as a peace-loving nation, remains committed to these ideals.
