Pakistani actress Mahira Khan was reportedly harassed by unruly attendees during a promotional event for her upcoming film Love Guru at the Indo-Pak Supermarket in Ilford, London.

The event, held to promote the film alongside co-star Humayun Saeed, quickly descended into chaos as an unexpectedly large crowd overwhelmed the venue’s limited security arrangements. Eyewitnesses reported several instances of inappropriate behavior directed toward Mahira, both when she arrived at the store and later on the rooftop, where the stars were scheduled to greet fans.

Video clips circulating on social media show Mahira and Humayun waving to the crowd from the rooftop. However, footage also captures at least three individuals aggressively approaching Mahira amid what appeared to be visibly inadequate security measures.

Shockingly, a source told local media that one of the security personnel assigned to protect the actress was allegedly involved in the harassment. “The moment she entered the store, one of the guards turned on her,” the source claimed, adding that Mahira was visibly distressed and reluctant to continue with the event.

The situation was further inflamed by the presence of Indian flags at the venue — a move that reportedly caused discomfort among some attendees, given the ongoing political sensitivities between India and Pakistan.

Despite the disturbances, the promotional event continued as planned. However, behind the scenes, tensions escalated further due to an alleged financial dispute. Insiders claimed that Mahira had been promised £5,000 for her appearance but was not paid, leading her to protest against the event organizers for both the security lapse and the unfulfilled financial agreement.

As of now, neither Mahira Khan nor the event organizers have released an official statement addressing the incident. However, the episode has sparked widespread outrage on social media, where fans have condemned the poor event management and called for accountability and respect for the actress.

Love Guru, starring Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed, is scheduled for release in cinemas on June 6.
