During the session, the Prime Minister directed that internationally renowned firms be hired to carry out third-party validation of the ongoing reforms and initiatives within the FBR.
Addressing the participants, the Prime Minister remarked, “Following the historic victory of truth, the Government of Pakistan is committed to transforming Pakistan into a stable global economy through sustainable institutional reforms.” He further stated that institutional reforms are being swiftly implemented across all sectors.
The Prime Minister stressed that government institutions are working tirelessly to eliminate flaws such as corruption and lack of transparency. He pointed to recent positive economic indicators as clear evidence that the government’s policies are moving in the right direction.
Expressing satisfaction over the performance of the newly introduced faceless customs assessment system, the Prime Minister noted that such transparency-driven reforms are yielding encouraging results. “Insha’Allah, we will succeed in our struggle to make Pakistan economically stable,” he affirmed.
During the briefing, the Prime Minister was informed about the recent performance of the faceless customs assessment system and progress in reforms at the Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited (PRAL).
