The Directorate General of Immigration has informed the Islamabad High Court (IHC) that former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry’s name has been officially removed from the Passport Control List (PCL), effectively lifting the travel ban imposed on him.
According to a report submitted to the court, the removal was carried out a day prior in compliance with the court’s directives. With the matter resolved, Justice Inam Amin Minhas concluded the hearing and formally disposed of the petition.
During the proceedings, Fawad Chaudhry’s lawyer, Faisal Chaudhry, expressed appreciation for the court’s consideration, stating, “It always benefits us to come here.” Fawad himself also addressed the bench, thanking the court and adding, “You know we aren’t going anywhere — we’re here to do opposition.”
In a light-hearted moment as he closed the case, Justice Minhas remarked, “You got the name removed by relentlessly pursuing it,” prompting laughter in the courtroom.
