LAHORE (RNN TV Exclusive) — Senior journalist and CEO of RNN TV, Naeem Hanif, held an important meeting with the United States Chargé d’Affaires to Pakistan, Ms. Natalie A. Baker, during a dinner hosted by prominent anchorperson Mubasher Lucman.

The gathering, which included senior media professionals, served as a platform for dialogue on pressing national and regional issues.

Following the dinner, a separate meeting took place between Ms. Baker, Mr. Hanif, and Mr. Lucman, where matters of national importance and the evolving dynamics of Pakistan-US relations were discussed in detail. A key focus of the meeting was regional peace, particularly the longstanding conflict between Pakistan and India.

Ms. Baker reiterated the United States’ consistent support for peaceful engagement between the two neighbouring countries. She emphasised that Washington welcomes and encourages dialogue, and is always willing to mediate or support confidence-building measures such as ceasefires. “The United States is pleased to see progress toward peace and stability in South Asia, and we remain committed to playing a constructive role,” she said.

Naeem Hanif lauded the US efforts, especially Ms. Baker’s commitment to supporting the peace process and facilitating a ceasefire between Pakistan and India. He acknowledged the importance of diplomatic engagement in maintaining regional harmony and appreciated the constructive role played by the US in de-escalating tensions in the past.

On the occasion, Mubasher Lucman expressed gratitude to the US Chargé d’Affaires for her presence and views, and presented her with a token of appreciation in recognition of her service and contribution to fostering bilateral relations.

The meeting underscored the importance of media and diplomacy working in tandem to support peace, transparency, and mutual understanding between nations.
