The federal government on Thursday announced revised fuel prices for the next fortnight, effective from August 1, 2025, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance.

The price of petrol has been reduced by Rs7.54 per litre, bringing the new rate down to Rs264.61. Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has been increased by Rs1.48, now priced at Rs285.83 per litre.

The new rates follow a previous price hike announced on July 15, when petrol was increased by Rs5.36 and diesel by Rs11.37 per litre.

In a related development, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) also announced a cut in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices for August 2025. The price has been reduced by Rs17.74 per kg, setting the new LPG rate at Rs215.36 per kg.

Consequently, the cost of an 11.8 kg domestic LPG cylinder has dropped by Rs209.24, now priced at Rs2,541.36, down from Rs2,750.60.

These price adjustments are in line with international oil market trends and are aimed at providing relief to consumers.
