
Islamabad (RNN TV) — Commander of the Bahrain National Guard, General Sheikh Mohammed bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, visited Air Headquarters Islamabad on Tuesday and met Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu.
According to a PAF spokesperson, the meeting reaffirmed the resolve to enhance enduring defence cooperation between Pakistan and Bahrain. Both sides discussed joint training initiatives, collaborative air exercises, and possible cooperation in the aviation industry.
The Air Chief briefed the distinguished guest on the ongoing infrastructure development projects of the Pakistan Air Force, restructuring of its training system, and advancements in modern technological capabilities. He said these measures would further strengthen PAF’s operational readiness and consolidate its edge in multi-domain warfare.
Air Chief Marshal Sidhu highlighted the historic religious and cultural ties binding Pakistan and Bahrain, which are reflected in their exemplary defence cooperation. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to expanding bilateral collaboration, particularly in training, joint exercises, and knowledge-sharing.
General Sheikh Mohammed bin Isa lauded the PAF’s professionalism, operational preparedness, and recent performance in the region. He also underlined the importance of joint air exercises, expressing keen interest in expanding bilateral training programmes and projects, terming them vital for mutual growth and shared operational experience.
It was agreed that the Commander of the Bahrain Air Force will undertake an official visit to Pakistan in the near future to carry forward the dialogue and further strengthen institutional defence cooperation.
