ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) — Pakistan has strongly denounced Israel’s latest attempt to impose its so-called “sovereignty” over parts of the Occupied West Bank, including illegal settlements, through a draft law tabled in the Israeli legislature.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the Foreign Office termed the move a blatant violation of international law, relevant UN Security Council resolutions, and the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people.
“These actions constitute a flagrant breach of international law,” the spokesperson said, adding that such provocations seriously undermine ongoing efforts for peace and stability in the region.
Pakistan urged the international community to take urgent and decisive action to halt Israel’s illegal steps and to hold the occupying forces accountable for their persistent violations of international law.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s firm support for the Palestinian cause, the spokesperson reiterated Islamabad’s commitment to working with regional and global partners to protect the rights of the Palestinian people — including their right to self-determination — and to ensure peace, justice, and dignity for them.
Pakistan once again emphasized its unwavering backing for the establishment of an independent, sovereign, and contiguous State of Palestine, based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
