LAHORE (RNN TV) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir said on Tuesday that no number of terrorists—even over 10 generations—could harm Balochistan or Pakistan. He made it clear that “a handful of terrorists” would never be allowed to decide the country’s future.
Speaking at the first Overseas Pakistanis Convention in Islamabad, General Munir said Pakistan is firmly on the path of progress and development, and no one will be allowed to block its journey toward prosperity.
“Whoever tries to stand in the way of Pakistan’s progress, we will face and remove them together,” he said. “As long as the brave people of Pakistan stand with the Pakistan Army, no one can harm this country.”
He strongly stated that with the support of its people, the Pakistan Army can overcome any challenge. “Do our enemies really think that a few terrorists can decide Pakistan’s future?” he asked. “Even if there were ten generations of terrorists, they wouldn’t be able to damage Balochistan or Pakistan.”
Calling Balochistan the “jewel of Pakistan’s future” and the “pride of our nation,” he said, “We do not fear challenges. As Muslims and as Pakistanis, we have never bowed before hardships—and we never will.”
General Munir said Pakistan is on the road to development and success. “The question is not if Pakistan will progress, but how quickly it will,” he added. He emphasized that Pakistan is blessed with great natural resources and urged everyone to be grateful to Almighty Allah for these blessings.
Praising overseas Pakistanis, he said, “People talk about brain drain, but I call it brain gain.” He described overseas Pakistanis as valuable representatives of the country whose love for Pakistan is heartwarming.
“I am deeply touched by the strong feelings of overseas Pakistanis,” he said. “Know that our love and respect for you is even greater. You are not just ambassadors of Pakistan—you are the shining light of the nation across the world.”
He encouraged them to pass on Pakistan’s story to their children—the story of how their ancestors struggled and sacrificed to achieve this country. “Always be proud, because you belong to a great and powerful nation,” he said.
General Munir also paid tribute to the country’s martyrs, saying, “The nation holds deep respect for them. Their sacrifices are eternal, and we will never forget their legacy.”
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong stance on Kashmir, calling it “the jugular vein of Pakistan.” He also expressed solidarity with the people of Gaza, saying the hearts of Pakistanis beat with their Muslim brothers and sisters there.
