RAWALPINDI (RNN TV) — Security forces, in a joint intelligence-based operation, killed four terrorists in Swat district, according to the military’s media wing on Friday.

The operation, carried out by the security forces and law enforcement agencies, successfully targeted the terrorists’ location, resulting in their elimination, stated the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the deceased terrorists, who were reportedly involved in various terrorist activities in the region.

ISPR further mentioned that a sanitization operation is ongoing in the area to eliminate any remaining terrorists. Security forces, in coordination with Pakistan’s law enforcement agencies, are committed to eradicating terrorism from the country.

This comes a day after security forces killed four militants during an intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. However, one soldier, Sepoy Basit Siddique, was martyred in the exchange of fire. The operation in the Madi area of Dera Ismail Khan was based on confirmed intelligence regarding the militants’ presence. ISPR praised the bravery of Sepoy Siddique, who laid down his life for the nation during the fierce firefight.
