He has commanded fighter squadrons and operational air bases, reflecting deep operational expertise and strong leadership. His international credentials include serving as Contingent Commander of the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex team in Saudi Arabia.

Aurangzeb Ahmed holds a master’s degree in Military Arts from Beijing, and another in National Security and War Studies from Pakistan’s National Defence University. He has also served as faculty at the same institution, contributing to the education of future military leaders.

His exceptional service has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military), Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, and the Golden Eagle Award for excellence in flying. These honors reflect not only his operational capabilities but also his strategic insight and professional excellence.
