Lahore (RNN TV) — Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana chaired a key meeting on Thursday to review the city’s law and order situation and assess progress on the repatriation of illegally residing Afghan nationals and the recovery of illegal weapons.
During the meeting, senior police officials, including DIG (Admin) Imran Kishwar, DIG (Investigation) Zeeshan Raza, DIG (Operations) Faisal Kamran, and divisional SPs (Operations), participated.
The session reviewed the latest developments regarding the eviction of illegal foreign residents and discussed measures to ensure the effective implementation of security directives. It was decided that whistle-blowers would be engaged to help identify foreigners residing illegally in the city.
CCPO Kamyana directed officers to intensify efforts for the deportation of Afghan nationals living without valid visas, emphasizing that daily combing operations should continue across Lahore. “Those renting out houses or shops to illegal residents will face strict action under the Tenancy Act,” he warned.
Reiterating his zero-tolerance policy, the CCPO said that violations of the Loudspeaker Act, hate material, wall chalking, or illegal posters would be dealt with immediately. He stressed that “the rule of law will be ensured at all costs.”
He also ordered special measures to eliminate illegal arms and the so-called “dala culture” and mafias from the city. “There is no room for illegal weapons or organized crime in Lahore,” Kamyana stated, directing supervisory officers to keep peace committees fully informed about government policies and security initiatives.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to maintain peace and ensure the writ of law throughout the provincial capital.
