
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), is currently on an official visit to the United States. As part of his trip, he held a special meeting with members of the overseas Pakistani community in Washington, D.C.
General Munir was warmly received by a large gathering of expatriates, who came together to welcome him and engage in dialogue.
The community lauded the Pakistan Armed Forces for their outstanding performance during Operation Bunyanum Marsoos (Marka-e-Haq), highlighting the military’s professionalism, courage, and commitment to national security.
In his remarks, the COAS praised overseas Pakistanis for their vital role as ambassadors of the nation. He acknowledged their valuable contributions to Pakistan’s economy through remittances and investments, as well as their efforts in enhancing the country’s global image.
Participants shared their perspectives and suggestions, which General Munir welcomed. He stressed the importance of maintaining strong ties with the diaspora and promoting continuous collaboration to address shared challenges.
The session concluded with a reaffirmed commitment from both sides to work together in building a secure, prosperous, and resilient Pakistan.
