Corps Commander Lahore, Lieutenant General Fayyaz Hussain Shah, held a special session with the faculty and students of Punjab University during his visit to the historic campus. The Corps Commander was warmly welcomed upon his arrival.

During the event, Lt. Gen. Shah visited an exhibition featuring student-made paintings reflecting the theme of Ma’raka-e-Haq (Battle for Truth), appreciating the artistic interpretation and effort put forth by the youth.

In his keynote address, the Corps Commander delivered an insightful talk on various aspects of Ma’raka-e-Haq, emphasizing its significance in the context of national resilience and unity. He described the historic success of Operation Bunyān Mursūs as a result of the nation’s collective faith, unity, and discipline.

Lt. Gen. Shah also discussed the long-term implications of the recent Pakistan-India conflict, highlighting the strategic advantages gained by Pakistan and the professionalism displayed by its armed forces. He stated, “Operation Bunyān Mursūs showcased the unmatched courage and expertise of the Pakistani nation and its military to the world.”

Acknowledging the importance of education in shaping the future, the Corps Commander said, “It is a matter of great honor to visit the country’s oldest and largest university. Teachers are the architects of our nation—I salute them.”

He underscored the rising significance of information technology and modern sciences in modern warfare, as seen in the recent conflict. He noted that the youth are the true torchbearers of Pakistan’s bright future.

Concluding his address, Lt. Gen. Fayyaz Hussain Shah emphasized national unity and responsibility: “Together, we must ensure a stronger and safer Pakistan.”

The event was attended by senior faculty members, university staff, and a large number of students, who appreciated the Corps Commander’s insights and encouragement.
