LAHORE (RNN TV) – A sessions court on Thursday reserved its verdict on the bail plea of YouTuber Saad-ur-Rehman, popularly known as Ducky Bhai, in a case related to alleged promotion of illegal online gambling platforms.
The hearing was conducted by an Additional Sessions Judge, who listened to arguments from both sides before reserving the decision. Ducky Bhai’s counsel concluded his submissions, while the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) lawyer opposed the bail plea, presenting evidence against the influencer. The court will announce its ruling at a later date.
Arrest at Lahore Airport
Ducky Bhai was taken into custody on August 17 at Lahore airport while attempting to travel abroad. His name had been placed on the Provisional National Identification List (PNIL), restricting his departure. He was initially remanded to NCCIA custody for two days, with investigators ordered to submit a progress report.
Allegations of Gambling Promotion
The NCCIA lodged a case against the YouTuber, accusing him of promoting gambling applications, including Binomo, and engaging in money laundering. Investigators claim to have recovered incriminating WhatsApp conversations and transaction data from his mobile phone.
According to officials, the evidence suggests he misled the public through online promotions of gambling apps and attempted to evade authorities by leaving the country.
The case has drawn significant public attention due to Ducky Bhai’s massive online following. The court’s reserved verdict on his bail is now eagerly awaited.
