In a major escalation of hostilities, Pakistan launched Operation Bunyan-um-Marsus, targeting multiple high-value Indian military assets in response to recent Indian strikes.
According to security sources, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) successfully destroyed India’s advanced S-400 air defense system stationed in Adampur, Punjab, using a hypersonic missile launched from a JF-17 Thunder jet. The Russian-made S-400 system, valued at $1.5 billion, is one of India’s most critical air defense assets.
Pakistan also reportedly struck Indian airbases in Udhampur, Suratgarh, Pathankot, and Adampur, along with missile depots, including the BrahMos storage sites in Beas and Nagrota. At least three Fatah-2 missiles were launched in the operation, causing substantial damage to military infrastructure, according to Pakistani sources.
Indian media has acknowledged strikes on 26 locations, with reports of significant losses, including the death of a senior administrative officer in Rajouri. Pakistani drones have reportedly entered Indian airspace, reaching as far as New Delhi and striking targets in Ferozepur.
The offensive marks a sharp escalation in tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbors, with both sides now engaged in intense cross-border hostilities.
