LAHORE (RNN TV) — Since April 4, multiple social media posts on platforms X and Facebook have circulated a video of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur during a media interaction, falsely claiming that he made disparaging remarks about Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.

Contrary to the viral claims, a review of the footage confirms that CM Gandapur made no such statement. The alleged quote has been misattributed, and no evidence supports the claim that he dismissed Imran Khan in the manner suggested.

The incident comes at a time when internal rifts within PTI appear to be deepening. Several party leaders have publicly called for an investigation against CM Gandapur, accusing him of labeling them “conspirators.” Simultaneously, he has faced mounting criticism from party supporters and officials over the KP government’s handling of efforts to secure Imran Khan’s release, as well as broader governance issues.

The claim originated from a pro-PML-N user who posted a video clip on April 4 sourced from news outlet Azaad Digital. The post alleged that CM Gandapur, in response to a reporter’s question, said: “Imran Khan has no worth; whatever needs to be done, I will do it. Talking about Imran Khan is pointless.”

Due to the viral spread and the political sensitivity surrounding PTI’s internal affairs, a fact-check was conducted to verify the authenticity of the quote.

In conclusion, the quote attributed to CM Gandapur is fabricated, and the viral posts circulating it are misleading.
