LAHORE (RNN TV) – Another case of fraud involving online taxi service inDrive has come to light in Lahore, where a rider vanished after taking away food and expensive utensils worth around Rs45,000.

According to the FIR, Harbanspura police registered a case against the driver following a complaint by local resident Hamad Hassan. The complainant had booked a ride to send food to his relatives in Model Town.

However, soon after the food was handed over, the ride was canceled. All attempts to contact the driver through the app failed, causing distress to the family.

The driver allegedly fled with the costly food and utensils, leaving the complainant at a significant loss.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident, while the victim awaits justice in what has become yet another case of online taxi-related fraud in the city.
