LAHORE (Web Desk) — A Pakistani family that traveled to India seeking life-saving heart treatment for their two children was deported without receiving any medical care, according to a report by Startup Pakistan.
Shahid Ali, the father of the children, shared a video message describing the ordeal. He expressed heartbreak over the situation, saying his children are innocent and should not suffer because of political tensions. He appealed to the Pakistani government to urgently arrange treatment for his children in another country, warning that further delays could put their lives at risk.
Startup Pakistan reports that doctors in India had previously cautioned that any delay in medical intervention could be life-threatening for the children. Despite these warnings, the family was unable to receive care after reaching India and was forced to return home.
In response, the Pakistani government has stated its willingness to cooperate with India in investigating the incident. However, it also warned against any actions that could inflame tensions or create unnecessary conflict between the two nations.
The case has sparked widespread concern on social media, with many calling for both governments to prioritize humanitarian needs over politics. Public sympathy has grown for the family, and Shahid Ali’s emotional plea has resonated with many who are urging swift action.
According to Startup Pakistan, the family now awaits assistance from authorities to ensure the children can receive timely medical treatment in another country, emphasizing the need to keep healthcare above political disputes.
