QUETTA (RNN TV) — The Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has postponed the intermediate exams, originally scheduled to begin today (April 22, 2025), citing unavoidable circumstances.
According to the board’s chairman, the exams have been delayed by three weeks. Sources indicate that the decision follows a teachers’ boycott of the examination duties.
The delay sparked criticism from students, who expressed concern that the postponement could impact admissions to medical colleges next year.
In a related development, matric exams in North Waziristan have also been postponed due to security concerns. Initially set to begin on April 8, the exams will now be held on a later date to ensure the safety of students and staff.
A notification from the Bannu Board stated that the decision was made in response to the current law and order situation in the region. New dates will be announced following consultations with relevant authorities.
The postponement affects over 920,000 students across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, though exams in other districts will proceed as scheduled under the supervision of various education boards.
