RAWALPINDI/LAHORE (Naeem Hanif) — Pakistan’s security establishment has reiterated a policy of zero tolerance against militancy in Balochistan as fresh concerns emerge over the role of external actors in amplifying narratives linked to the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA).
The issue gained renewed attention following remarks by Israeli historian Dr. Haim Bresheeth-Zabner, who stated that “Israel is supporting the Baloch militias against Pakistan.” Analysts say that Israeli-linked digital platforms and commentators have increasingly amplified the narratives of Baloch dissident elements, contributing to an information environment that indirectly enables designated terrorist groups operating in the province.
According to security and strategic experts, portraying Balochistan as a strategic pressure point in regional geopolitics risks normalising violence carried out by militant groups as a geopolitical tool. Such framing, they warn, blurs the line between legitimate political discourse and the justification of terrorism, ultimately undermining regional stability.
Against this backdrop, Pakistan’s security forces have issued a stern warning that there will be no safe haven, no leniency and no escape for militants involved in violence in Balochistan. In a strongly worded statement, the security forces said the BLA is neither a local nor an indigenous movement but an externally sponsored terrorist outfit, allegedly operating under the patronage of India’s intelligence agency, RAW, with the explicit aim of weakening Pakistan from within, challenging the writ of the state and terrorising civilians.
The statement said intelligence assessments have conclusively linked the group’s training camps, weapons supply, funding streams and operational direction to foreign sources. “These militants do not represent the Baloch people. They are instruments of a hostile agenda against Pakistan,” the statement added.
Declaring an end to any ambiguity, the security forces said the state has adopted a clear and uncompromising approach. “There will be no dialogue with armed groups, no reconciliation under the shadow of weapons, and no tolerance for those who choose violence. Anyone who raises arms against the state will be dealt with decisively,” it said.
According to officials, the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC), Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and intelligence agencies are conducting sustained intelligence-based and kinetic operations across Balochistan. These operations aim to dismantle militant infrastructure, including safe houses, facilitators, logistical networks and propaganda cells. “Every network is under watch. Every facilitator is being identified. There will be no safe space for terrorists or their enablers anywhere,” the statement said, adding that operations will continue until all threats are neutralised.
Security forces also cautioned against disinformation campaigns, stressing that social media propaganda, fabricated narratives and foreign backing would not shield militants from accountability. Reiterating the state’s position, the statement said terrorism, its facilitators and its sponsors would be treated alike and confronted without distinction.
Security operations remain ongoing, with heightened vigilance maintained across sensitive districts of Balochistan. Authorities say the nation stands firmly with its security institutions and that any attempt—internal or external—to destabilise the province will be dealt with decisively.
