
Gold prices recorded another drop in both local and international markets on Friday, marking the second straight session of decline.
Data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association showed that the price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs1,000 per tola, settling at Rs395,800. The rate for 10 grams slipped by Rs858, closing at Rs339,334.
In the global market, gold also edged lower as international prices dropped by $10 per ounce, reaching $3,740.
Silver, however, bucked the downward trend. The price of 24-karat silver rose by Rs64 per tola, climbing to Rs4,599, while 10 grams were priced at Rs3,942.
