Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has instructed authorities to set priorities for road infrastructure projects, keeping public needs and usage in focus.

Chairing a meeting, she stressed strict action against roadside encroachments and discussed plans for the construction and rehabilitation of inter-district and inter-village roads in the upcoming fiscal year.

Key updates included the completion of the Quaid-e-Azam Interchange to Wagah Border Road, ECNEC’s approval of the Multan-Vehari dual road project, and progress on Shakargarh Road under the Kartarpur Corridor.

She also ordered a feasibility study for an expressway connecting Layyah and Bhakkar to the motorway and directed the installation of uniform tough tiles in urban and rural areas.
