ISLAMABAD (RNN TV) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Wednesday reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to fighting terrorism, declaring that the country will never surrender to extremist forces and will ensure a secure future for generations to come.

Speaking at an international conference on Pakistan’s counterterrorism efforts in Islamabad, Bilawal emphasized that terrorism is a global challenge, and Pakistan has paid a heavy price in the fight against it. “Surrender is not in Pakistan’s dictionary,” he said, adding that the country’s armed forces have set an example the world can learn from.

He urged Afghanistan to prevent its territory from being used against Pakistan and called on the Afghan interim government to adhere to the Doha Agreement. Bilawal also appealed to the international community to support Pakistan in its continued struggle against terrorism.

Recalling his late mother, former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, Bilawal noted her strong stance against extremism. “She stood against terrorism until her last breath,” he said, affirming Pakistan’s willingness to cooperate with Afghanistan to tackle shared security threats.

Bilawal also warned against the manipulation of public sentiment in both Pakistan and Afghanistan, emphasizing the need for regional cooperation and mutual respect.

Turning to India, he urged the Indian leadership to acknowledge Pakistan’s sacrifices in the war on terror and called for a resolution of the Kashmir dispute in line with international resolutions. “India must understand Pakistan has also been a victim of terrorism. Dialogue is the only way forward,” he stressed.

He highlighted the devastating toll of terrorism on Pakistan, with over 92,000 lives lost, and noted the economic impact the country has endured. He pointed out that following its exit from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) grey list, Pakistan has implemented critical reforms and emerged as a responsible player in global counterterrorism efforts.

Bilawal also raised concern about the rise of digital propaganda, calling it a modern battleground in the fight against extremism. He urged global cooperation to address injustices in places like Kashmir and Palestine, linking peace to the upholding of justice worldwide.
