ISLAMABAD (RNN TV) – In a strongly worded statement on Friday, Pakistan’s military and interior ministry blamed India for a series of deadly terrorist attacks across the country, including a devastating bombing in Khuzdar that killed eight people—five of them children—and injured 51 others.
At a joint press conference, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry and Interior Secretary Aftab Durrani accused India of running a long-term campaign to destabilize Pakistan through state-sponsored terrorism.
Khuzdar Attack Condemned as Attack on Nation’s Future
Describing the May 2025 Khuzdar attack as a “barbaric act,” the ISPR chief emphasized that the majority of victims were schoolchildren. “This was not just an attack on children—it was an attack on our values,” echoed Interior Secretary Durrani, confirming that many of the injured remain hospitalized.
Pattern of Civilian Attacks
Lt Gen Chaudhry listed a series of recent terrorist incidents, presenting them as part of a disturbing trend:
-
Feb 14: 10 civilians killed in Harnai
-
Mar 11: Passengers attacked on the Jafar Express
-
Mar 26: Labourers killed in Gwadar
-
Apr 12: More labourers martyred in Panjgur
-
May 9: 3 labourers killed in Lasbela
-
Nushki: 4 labourers killed
-
Barkhan: 7 passengers thrown off a bus and killed
“These monsters carry out atrocities with Indian support,” said the ISPR chief, accusing India of funding and orchestrating the violence under what he referred to as “Fitna-ul-Hindustan,” or the mischief of India.
Allegations of Foreign Weapons and Funding
The Pakistan Army claims the attacks are part of a broader, foreign-funded insurgency. Many of the terrorists reportedly used night vision goggles and American weapons, allegedly sourced through Afghanistan. Captured militants, the military says, confessed to receiving funding and directives from Indian intelligence.
“This is not local unrest—it is externally driven. The world must ask: who among us was in Pahalgam? No one,” said Lt Gen Chaudhry, referencing a recent attack in Indian-administered Kashmir that India blamed on Pakistan.
Previous Dossiers and Spy Confession Cited
Pakistan’s government also reminded the international community that it had previously submitted dossiers in 2009 and 2016 detailing India’s alleged support for terrorist groups, particularly in Balochistan. The army chief reiterated that Kulbhushan Jadhav, an Indian national arrested in 2016, had confessed to Indian involvement in subversive activities inside Pakistan.
Army Vows Retaliation
Security forces claim to have eliminated 71 militants in recent operations, with more to follow. “We surrounded over 100 terrorists—71 have been neutralized. The rest will be dealt with,” said Lt Gen Chaudhry.
The interior secretary promised justice for the Khuzdar victims: “They didn’t just kill children—they shook the soul of the nation. Those responsible will face serious consequences.”
The government’s sharp rhetoric signals a new low in Pakistan-India relations, as tensions continue to escalate between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.
