Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar stated on Wednesday that Pakistan has delivered a strong and proportionate response to India’s cross-border aggression, targeting only military installations while strictly adhering to international laws of war.
Speaking from the control room during a press briefing, Tarar confirmed that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) successfully shot down five Indian aircraft, including a drone, and destroyed multiple military posts along the Line of Control (LoC).
“In the cover of night, the enemy deliberately attacked civilian areas, including mosques and madrasas,” said Tarar. “Pakistan’s retaliation was measured and precise — focused solely on military threats. No civilian targets were hit.”
Indian Troops Raise White Flag
The minister further revealed that Indian forces were forced to raise white flags at several positions, including the Chora Complex post along the LoC, indicating retreat and surrender. “Even Indian media is showing visuals of their destroyed aircraft — the facts can no longer be concealed,” he added.
Prime Minister Sharif Closely Monitoring Situation
Tarar said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif remained fully engaged throughout the night, receiving continuous updates from military leadership. The PM has convened a National Security Committee (NSC) meeting at 10 a.m. Wednesday to evaluate the evolving situation and discuss further diplomatic and strategic measures.
Nation United Behind Armed Forces
Highlighting national solidarity, Tarar praised the unity of the Pakistani people and their unwavering support for the armed forces. “When this nation stands together, it delivers a resolute response to any threat,” he said. “We salute the courage of our soldiers in the army, navy, and air force.”
He added that the morale of Pakistan’s armed forces was bolstered by the prayers and support of the people, which played a key role in their operational success.
India’s Claims Fall Apart
Tarar also dismissed Indian allegations linking Pakistan to the recent Pahalgam incident. “They have no proof — not even a single credible piece of evidence,” he stated. “India’s narrative is unraveling, and the global community is beginning to see through its propaganda.”
Pakistan Maintains Moral High Ground
Concluding his remarks, the information minister said Pakistan had demonstrated discipline and restraint, responding only where necessary but with decisive force. “India not only failed militarily but has also been publicly humiliated by being forced to raise the white flag. Pakistan has upheld its principles even under attack.”
