LAHORE (RNN TV) — Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has vowed to deliver a decisive blow to terrorism, ensuring such threats can never resurface in Pakistan.

Presiding over a high-level meeting on the law and order situation in Islamabad, the Prime Minister reiterated the government’s unwavering resolve to eliminate terrorism from the country.

He highlighted that Pakistan’s adversaries are unsettled by its recent economic gains and made it clear that the fight against terrorism will persist until lasting peace is secured.

Praising the nation’s security forces, Shehbaz Sharif acknowledged the courage and sacrifices of officers and soldiers who continuously put their lives on the line to protect the country. He also commended provincial governments and state institutions for their strong and coordinated response to terrorist threats.

The Prime Minister assured that the federal government stands ready to support all provinces in enhancing their capabilities to counter terrorism and extremism. He described the unified approach between the federation and provinces as a promising development in the fight against terror.

Calling for national solidarity, Shehbaz Sharif urged all political and societal stakeholders to put aside differences and come together to eliminate this menace once and for all.

He also directed relevant authorities to ramp up operations against smuggling and clamp down on human trafficking networks, ensuring that those responsible are brought to justice.

Underscoring the importance of urban security, the Prime Minister stressed the need to fast-track the completion of Safe City projects across major cities.

During the briefing, it was disclosed that a National and Provincial Intelligence Fusion and Threat Assessment Center has been established under NACTA. Additionally, Islamabad now has a fully operational forensic science agency, while Punjab’s existing facility is undergoing significant upgrades.
