ISLAMABAD (RNN TV) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan on Thursday addressed the media outside Parliament, touching on key issues including regional diplomacy, ties with the United States, and the party’s legal strategy.
Commenting on Pakistan-U.S. relations, Gohar said PTI would issue a formal response once there is clarity on the direction of bilateral ties. “We will comment once there is clarity on how ties are progressing,” he said.
He praised former U.S. President Donald Trump’s mediation efforts during past tensions between Pakistan and India, calling his role “significant and timely.” Gohar noted that in conflicts between nuclear-armed neighbors, a lack of mediation can escalate the risk of war.
Reflecting on previous confrontations with India, he asserted, “India’s arrogance was shattered during the war, and Pakistan’s firm response will be remembered.”
Gohar also reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong partnership with China, describing the relationship as “unbreakable and enduring.”
On the domestic front, the PTI leader reiterated the party’s commitment to pursuing all legal avenues through the courts. “Whatever PTI has to gain, it will be through the judiciary,” he emphasized.
Addressing speculation about foreign intervention in party affairs, Gohar firmly stated that PTI will not seek international assistance for the release of its founding chairman, Imran Khan. “We will not request any foreign country for the founder’s release,” he said.
