PESHAWAR (RNN TV) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced its decision to take strict disciplinary action against party members who defy official party directives in the lead-up to the upcoming Senate elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to party sources, PTI leadership has warned that any member going against the party’s stance will face immediate consequences, including expulsion from the party.
Speaking to Different news channels, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan confirmed the move and said the dissenting members were invited to a meeting on Friday, which they failed to attend. “The Chief Minister and I waited for them, but they didn’t show up,” Gohar stated.
The matter has since been referred to PTI’s political committee, which, after detailed deliberations, instructed the rebel candidates to withdraw their Senate nominations.
Gohar added that the deadline for withdrawal is 12 PM tomorrow, and failure to comply will result in disciplinary action under the party’s rules.
He also noted that the dissenting individuals currently hold positions within the party, making their defiance a clear violation of PTI’s internal code of conduct.
