Lahore (RNN TV) — Punjab Information Minister Uzma Bukhari has said that PTI leaders are making baseless attempts to blame the government for their internal rifts. She clarified that the Punjab government has not imposed any restrictions on meetings with the PTI Chairman.

“PTI leaders themselves alter the lists of visitors and then try to shift the blame onto the Punjab government,” she said, adding that such tactics are nothing more than “third-rate political stunts” aimed at staying relevant in the media.

Bukhari stated that, under jail regulations, ordinary prisoners are allowed visits once a week. However, as a concession, the PTI founder has been granted visitation twice a week—on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She noted that the list of visitors is submitted to jail authorities by PTI itself.

“We have no issue with Aleema Khan or anyone else; the real issue lies within PTI’s own ranks,” she said. “They should refrain from airing their internal conflicts on public platforms.”

She further criticized PTI leaders for staging what she described as “weekly photo sessions” and “requested arrests” outside jails to gain public sympathy. “They voluntarily get into police vans and then disembark at the next intersection,” she remarked.

Uzma Bukhari emphasized that the Punjab government is operating strictly in accordance with the Constitution and the law. She urged PTI to engage in serious politics rather than resorting to theatrics that mislead the public.
