Dalbandin / Bajaur (Web Desk) –  Pakistan’s security forces have successfully neutralized six militants belonging to the Fitna al-Hindustan group during an operation in the Dalbandin area of Chagai district, Balochistan, security sources confirmed Wednesday.

According to officials, the operation was launched following aerial reconnaissance that detected the terrorist formation hiding in the surrounding mountains. The swift and precise action by the forces completely dismantled the group, eliminating a potential threat to both civilians and military personnel.

In a separate intelligence-based operation in Bajaur district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security forces targeted hideouts and tunnels used by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), also known as Fitna al-Khawarij.

During an intense exchange of fire in the Shahi Tangi forest area, one terrorist was killed while several others managed to escape after sustaining injuries. Weapons, explosives, and communication equipment were recovered from the site.

Pakistan has witnessed a surge in cross-border terrorist activities, particularly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, following the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan in 2021. The incidents have strained relations between Islamabad and Kabul, as Pakistan continues to urge the Afghan Taliban to take action against militant groups operating from its soil.

Tensions escalated further after Taliban-backed militants attacked multiple Pakistani army posts on October 12. In retaliation, Pakistan conducted a series of precision strikes in Afghanistan’s Kandahar and Kabul provinces, reportedly killing over 200 militants. Twenty-three Pakistani soldiers were also martyred in the clashes.

Both nations have since agreed to a ceasefire, with high-level delegations set to meet in Istanbul, Türkiye, on October 25 to discuss security concerns and bilateral cooperation.
