Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, attended the commissioning parade of the Pakistan Navy’s 123rd Midshipmen and 31st Short Service Commission (SSC) Course at PNS Rahbar, the Pakistan Naval Academy, on Saturday.

As the chief guest of the ceremony, General Munir was welcomed with a formal salute by a well-turned-out naval contingent. He then reviewed the parade during an official inspection.

During the event, Field Marshal Munir awarded prizes to cadets who excelled in various areas of their training.

Midshipman Abdul Rehman was conferred with the coveted Sword of Honor in recognition of his outstanding performance.

The event, attended by senior naval officers, families of the graduating cadets, and other dignitaries, was held in pleasant weather with intermittent light rain, adding to the ceremonial atmosphere.

Addressing the participants, Field Marshal Munir congratulated the graduating cadets and acknowledged the Pakistan Navy’s vital role in defending the country’s maritime frontiers.

He expressed confidence in the professionalism and dedication of the newly commissioned officers.
