
Pakistan and Russia have signed an agreement for the revival of Pakistan Steel Mills, marking a significant step toward strengthening industrial cooperation between the two countries.
According to an official statement, a Pakistani delegation led by Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Haroon Akhtar finalized the deal during a visit to Moscow. Officials from both sides signed the protocol for the revival of the mills.
The agreement was signed by Pakistan’s Secretary for Industries and Production and relevant Russian officials. Under the accord, Pakistan Steel Mills will be modernized with Russian assistance.
Haroon Akhtar stated that Russia’s partnership in the revival of the steel mills would mark a new chapter in Pakistan’s industrial development. He added that this initiative reflects the Prime Minister’s vision for a stronger industrial base in the country.
He further noted that the restoration of the steel mills will not only boost industrial output but also generate employment opportunities, calling the agreement a milestone for Pakistan’s industrial future.
