A key decision on the resumption of the Pakistan Super League (PSL X) is expected within the next 48 hours, sources confirmed on Sunday, as efforts intensify to complete the tournament despite economic and logistical challenges.

According to sources, the remaining eight matches of the tournament are planned to be held in Lahore and Rawalpindi. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and PSL management are reportedly determined to see the tournament through, even if some franchises are unable to field their full squads of foreign players. In such cases, matches will proceed with local talent, while discussions with international players are ongoing.

The renewed push to restart PSL X comes shortly after Pakistan’s recent victory over India, which has sparked fresh enthusiasm for cricket across the country. Sources said PSL officials have contacted franchise owners, and CEO Salman Naseer has directed all teams to remain on standby.

“All necessary arrangements are being made — I will share complete details soon. PSL will go ahead,” Naseer assured.

Following the unexpected postponement of PSL X, all foreign players and staff were relocated to Dubai via Pakistan Armed Forces’ aircraft. They have been instructed to remain at their current locations until further notice, as the PCB finalizes plans for the league’s resumption.

The situation remains fluid, but fans could soon see cricket action return to home grounds if the decision to resume the league is approved in the coming days.
