On Monday, Malir experienced its seventh earthquake in 24 hours, with tremors striking precisely at 1:11 pm, continuing the recent pattern of seismic activity in Karachi.

Since Sunday evening, Karachi has felt earthquake tremors six times, causing growing concern among residents. The latest quake measured 2.2 on the Richter scale and was centered in the Malir area.

The Seismological Center reported that the earthquake’s epicenter was in Malir and its surrounding regions, occurring at a depth of 29 kilometers.

Earlier on Monday morning, at 11:05 am, the city experienced its fifth tremor since the initial quake on Sunday evening. The tremors were primarily felt in Quaidabad and neighboring areas, triggering panic among locals.

Residents hurried out of their homes and workplaces as a safety precaution. Fortunately, no damage or casualties have been reported so far.
