RAWALPINDI (RNN TV) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has urged his party members to put aside internal rifts and stay focused on the protest movement, warning that divisions over the recent Lahore meeting were being fueled deliberately to weaken the party.

Speaking to media outside Adiala Jail on Tuesday, Aleema Khan, Imran Khan’s sister, conveyed his message after meeting him in prison. She said her brother believes both he and his wife Bushra Bibi are being treated unfairly and that their basic rights in jail are being violated.

Aleema claimed that Imran’s access to newspapers and television has been cut off, and he has accused the jail superintendent and a colonel of mistreating him under the direction of a “Field Marshal.”

During their meeting, Imran expressed concern over infighting within PTI and instructed leaders to unite behind the protest movement. He welcomed the participation of 300 PTI parliamentarians in the Lahore gathering and warned that those sowing discord in the party would face consequences.

Aleema reaffirmed her family’s support for the party’s direction and emphasized the need to work towards Imran Khan’s release. She also called on jail authorities to end what she described as inhumane treatment.

Imran Khan reportedly told party members they must decide whether they are committed to politics, adding that dialogue or negotiations are pointless unless his legal cases are heard fairly.

Meanwhile, PTI leader Malik Ahmad Khan Bhachar said the Lahore protest movement will continue until August 5. He added that the opposition cannot be silenced.

PTI central leader Salman Akram Raja confirmed that Imran Khan had instructed the party to highlight the Lahore meeting in the media and said election tickets will not be sold for money, stressing the need for unity.

Aleema Khan, speaking earlier at the Gorakhpur checkpoint, called the Lahore meeting a positive and hopeful sign for PTI. She clarified that Punjab leadership was not intentionally excluded from the event, as it was specifically meant for parliamentarians.
