Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari strongly rejected the PTI founder’s claims of not being provided proper facilities in jail, terming them “completely false and misleading.”
In her statement, Bukhari said the former prime minister is enjoying Class B jail privileges that even other inmates in the same category do not receive.
Questioning the PTI founder’s credibility, she remarked, “How can someone who wakes up at noon on Eid day claim that he is being denied clean water for ablution?” She accused him of spreading false propaganda about lack of jail amenities, while reminding the public that it was he who previously removed air conditioners from others’ prison cells.
Bukhari also ridiculed the party’s current state, saying, “A party with no leader cannot launch any protest movement.” She emphasized that the cases related to the events of May 9 were being dealt with strictly according to the constitution and law, adding that those who spoke of revolution were now being legally declared as rebels.
Criticizing the PTI leadership further, she stated that while the party misused the country’s youth for its own “evil designs,” their own children were enjoying luxuries abroad. “The youth of Pakistan is now politically aware and will not fall into the trap of any new chaos,” Bukhari concluded.
