At Least 69 Dead as Severe Thunderstorms Hit India and Nepal

LAHORE (RNN TV) — PATNA: At least 69 people lost their lives this week as unusually severe thunderstorms swept across Bihar in eastern India and neighbouring Nepal, officials confirmed on Saturday.

Although flash floods and lightning strikes claim thousands of lives annually in the region, experts warn that the increasing frequency and intensity of such extreme weather events are linked to rising global temperatures.
