In the wake of heightened tensions following the Pahalgam incident, Pakistan has imposed a complete ban on the broadcast of Indian Premier League (IPL) matches across the country.
Sources confirmed that all IPL coverage, previously available on multiple apps and TV channels in Pakistan, has been officially halted. The move means cricket fans in Pakistan will no longer have access to live IPL games.
The decision comes amid a series of retaliatory actions between the two nations after the deadly attack in Indian-occupied Kashmir, which India has blamed on Pakistan—an accusation Islamabad strongly denies.
Adding to the standoff, Indian authorities have also restricted access to the social media profiles of prominent Pakistani sports figures. Reports from Indian media indicate that the accounts of former Pakistan cricket captain Babar Azam and wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan are now inaccessible within India.
