
ISLAMABAD (RNN TV) — Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met President Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday to brief him on the ongoing military operation Bunyan ul Marsoos, launched in response to Indian aggression.
President Zardari praised the armed forces for their courage and professionalism, commending the government’s decisive response in defending Pakistan’s sovereignty. “Pakistan has shown restraint as a responsible state but responded firmly to protect its people and territory,” he stated, reaffirming national unity in support of the military.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar.
PM Shehbaz also held a telephonic conversation with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, thanking him for his support. Bilawal congratulated the premier for his leadership during the crisis and lauded the armed forces’ professionalism, saying the nation stands united behind them.
In addition, the prime minister reached out to other political leaders, including Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, Khalid Magsi, and Chaudhry Salik Hussain, to brief them and reinforce political consensus amid rising regional tensions.
