Islamabad (RNN TV) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan on Monday voiced optimism about the potential release of PTI founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan ahead of Eidul Adha.

Speaking to reporters in the federal capital, Barrister Gohar addressed growing concerns among party workers over Khan’s continued incarceration, which has lasted nearly two years.

“It’s natural for our workers to ask questions about Imran Khan’s prolonged detention,” he said. “We deeply value their passion and dedication, but I urge them to stay calm and trust the process. We are doing everything within our power, and our hope lies with Allah Almighty.”

Barrister Gohar described Khan’s imprisonment as unjust and emphasized the emotional toll it has taken on party supporters. “No one can truly understand the pain of these past two years. We’ve organized protests, sit-ins, and raised our voice in parliament—our struggle continues,” he stated.

He assured reporters that Imran Khan remains spiritually strong despite the circumstances. “He continues to worship and seek strength from Allah during these testing times. We firmly believe that justice will prevail,” Gohar said.

Highlighting the legal efforts underway, the PTI chairman said the party’s legal teams are actively pushing for swift and fair court proceedings. “Our objective is not just Khan’s release, but complete exoneration,” he added.

Addressing questions about internal dissatisfaction, Barrister Gohar acknowledged rising frustration among party members but called for patience and discipline.

“Our supporters have endured immense hardship over the last two years. But we must remain focused on our lawful and peaceful struggle,” he concluded.
