TEHRAN (RNN TV) – Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei praised Pakistan’s unwavering and principled stance on the Palestinian issue, lauding its refusal to normalize relations with Israel despite external pressures.

He made these remarks during a high-level meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his delegation in Tehran, where both sides discussed regional security, bilateral cooperation, and the Palestinian cause.

In a statement shared on social media platform X, Khamenei commended Islamabad for resisting growing pressure and inducements aimed at pushing Muslim nations to recognize Israel. “Despite continuous efforts to persuade Islamic countries to establish ties with the Zionist regime, Pakistan has stood firm and uninfluenced,” he said.

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei voiced concern over the normalization of ties between some Muslim-majority countries and Israel, calling for united action by Iran and Pakistan to oppose the Zionist regime’s aggression in Gaza.

“Effective, joint efforts by Iran and Pakistan are necessary to stop the Zionist regime’s crimes in Gaza,” he said during a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Tehran.

Khamenei also welcomed signs of easing tensions between Pakistan and India, expressing hope for peaceful resolution of their disputes. He warned that global powers often seek to incite divisions in the region and stressed the importance of Muslim unity for lasting peace and stability.

The Supreme Leader encouraged both countries to strengthen cooperation within the Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO), describing it as a vital platform for regional development.

Reflecting on historical ties, Khamenei recalled Pakistan’s support for Iran during the 1980s Iran-Iraq war, calling it a testament to the deep-rooted brotherhood between the two nations.
