
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday held separate meetings with the ambassadors of Qatar and Saudi Arabia, underscoring Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to regional peace and stability through dialogue and diplomacy.
During his meeting with the Ambassador of Qatar, Prime Minister Shehbaz expressed solidarity with the Qatari people in the wake of recent missile attacks in the region. “We pray for the safety and security of our Qatari brothers and sisters, and for peace across the region,” he said. The prime minister reiterated Pakistan’s firm belief that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only sustainable path to lasting peace in the Middle East.
In a separate meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Shehbaz discussed the evolving situation in the Middle East. He conveyed his heartfelt prayers and best wishes for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Prime Minister Shehbaz reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the people of Saudi Arabia and emphasized Islamabad’s commitment to working closely with Riyadh in efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.
