PESHAWAR (RNN TV) — Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has alleged that PTI founder Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, is playing a role in campaigns aimed at sidelining the party founder, warning that efforts to promote a “minus-founder” formula are deepening divisions within the party.

Speaking about his recent meeting with Imran Khan in Adiala Jail, Gandapur said he briefed him on widening rifts in PTI and explained that internal reshuffles in the provincial cabinet were routine decisions, not betrayals. He maintained that failure to present the provincial budget would have ended the government, and passing it was necessary to avoid disqualification.

The chief minister lamented that despite following party interests, he and his cabinet were branded as traitors, and smear campaigns accused them of weakening the PTI founder. Gandapur claimed Aleema Khan was in touch with vloggers and journalists pushing her as a future chairperson and even as a prime ministerial candidate, further fueling disunity.

He also pointed to “suspicious leniency” in the bail granted to Aleema Khan’s son in the May 9 case, saying it raised serious concerns about weakening the party’s struggle.

Reaffirming loyalty to Imran Khan, Gandapur declared: “The PTI founder is my leader, and no one has the courage to minus him. It is my duty to tell him the truth, not to complain.”
