ISLAMABAD (RNN TV) — In a special session of the Corps Commanders Conference held on Thursday, Pakistan’s military leadership reaffirmed its firm resolve to safeguard national sovereignty and respond forcefully to any aggression from India. The meeting, chaired by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir, emphasised full operational preparedness and unity within the armed forces.
The high-level forum issued a stern warning that any attempt by India to impose war on Pakistan would be met with a “decisive and full-force response,” reflecting the armed forces’ unwavering commitment to national defence and the will of the Pakistani people.
General Munir expressed strong confidence in all military formations and strategic forces, stating, “The armed forces stand united with the people of Pakistan.” He underscored the need for constant vigilance and preparedness across all fronts, particularly in light of growing regional tensions.
The conference reviewed the regional security environment in detail, with a focus on the deteriorating Pakistan-India situation. It strongly condemned the ongoing Indian military actions in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and the continued targeting of civilians along the Line of Control (LoC), describing such acts as inhumane and escalatory.
The military leadership warned against Indian efforts to alter the regional status quo, referencing recent incidents such as Pulwama in 2019 and a more recent episode in Pahalgam, which they alleged were orchestrated to shift focus from Pakistan’s internal priorities, including its western security front and economic recovery.
The conference also voiced serious concern over India’s alleged attempts to undermine the Indus Waters Treaty. “Weaponising water is extremely dangerous and could impact Pakistan’s 240 million people, risking wider regional instability,” the forum stated.
Accusations were also levelled against Indian intelligence and military agencies for allegedly sponsoring terrorism within Pakistan. The participants claimed there is “irrefutable evidence” of Indian state-sponsored terrorism, calling such acts blatant violations of international law and a threat to regional peace.
Reiterating the Pakistan Army’s commitment to national defence, the forum concluded with a clear message: any hostile act will be met with a decisive and unified response, in full alignment with the aspirations of the Pakistani nation.
