
CAIRO (RNN TV) — Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, met Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi at the Itihadia Presidential Palace in Cairo on Friday, where both leaders reaffirmed their resolve to deepen bilateral ties and enhance collaboration in key areas of mutual interest.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in the fields of security, economy, technology, and regional peace. The meeting also reaffirmed the enduring friendship between Pakistan and Egypt, built on shared values and mutual respect.
Field Marshal Asim Munir lauded Egypt’s leadership for its significant role in maintaining peace and stability across the region. In response, President el-Sisi praised Pakistan’s constructive and proactive engagement in global and Muslim world affairs.
Both leaders agreed on the importance of close coordination on strategic issues and underscored the need to boost socio-economic and institutional collaboration. They also stressed the value of promoting people-to-people contacts to further deepen bilateral relations.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both sides expressing confidence that stronger security and economic cooperation will contribute to greater stability and prosperity in Pakistan, Egypt, and the broader region.
